Re: xml:id spec and XML Schema?

The 'normative' schema document for the XML namespace is at
http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd

It will be updated to include the 'id' attribute as and when the
xml:id specification is approved, or possibly a little earlier in the
REC track.
