Notation Declaration valid or not

Notation Declaration valid or not
Hi..

Can u please tell me whether the following  notation is valid or not. where
there is an attribute "a:b="c"" in the declaration.

 

<xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

       <xsd:notation a:b="c" name="jpeg" public="image/jpeg"
system="viewer.exe" xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"/>
